Why choose just one day
Why spend that day slaving away
The one day that all come together
Don't let it tear you apart
Before it's to late realize what you have now, from the start
Concern yourself with memories to be made
Not that perfect gift and the price you paid
Live your dreams
Rather than having them in hindsight of what should have been
Adore the present, for that's what it is
For the future holds opportunity,
but loses the magic of the past
Why choose just one day
When there's never a guarantee
Treasure family, friends, and foes alike
In the end it's them not things you look back on at the end of your life
I got a bit inspired by seeing some writing challenge so I decided I would make a blog to keep my challenges organized, and also tell you people about my life if anything interesting happens.

It's never a perfect fit
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, lived a lonesome prince. In search of his one true love he held a ball. There were ladies of the court dressed in the finest, and well fitted garb; however, there was one girl who didn't quite fit in. The prince fell madly in love with the girl and danced with her all evening long. Alas the time came when the girl had to disappear, yet in doing so she left behind a shoe. The next morning he set out to find his one true love. The prince scoured the Kingdom for three days before returning to the castle. When he did he found a maid of the house frantically searching for something on the ballroom floor. "What are you looking for?", he called out to her being a polite gentleman. "I lost a shoe. It's an heirloom of my mother and I can't find it anywhere!" This sparked the prince's interest, so he chose to pull out the shoe he had been carrying and approached her. "Do you mind trying it on?", asked the prince. So she did with a sad look in her eyes. For you see it was her shoe, but it wasn't the right size for her foot. The prince realized and smiled at the maid saying,"It's never a perfect fit". Then she got her shoe back and the prince was no longer lonesome.

Tu guardián - Juanes
It was so sad but I'll always remember it. I was working in the cancer ward as a RN at that time. A little girl, Andiana was her name, maybe 9 was there. Her wish was that she wanted to hear Juanes play. He came and sang the song that was the last she heard. " Duérmete pronto mi amor que la noche ya llego." I remember the smile she had. "Y cierra tus ojos que yo de tus sueños cuidare." I had to go check on another patient, when I came back he was on the last verse, and she on her last breathe. " Duérmete mi amor sueña con mi voz. Duérmete mi amor hasta que salga el sol. Duérmete mi amor sueña con mi voz. Duérmete mi amor que aquí estaré yo."
And translations for my non Spanish speakers! You should listen to this song though it's really good.

Wo bist du (Mama) - LaFee
Almost a year now, and Gelda still hasn't accepted me. Her papa doesn't help with her either. last night I heard her speak while writing, "Nachts hör ich Papa weinen, Oh ich hasse dich dafür. Mama ich liebe dich so sehr." I know I can't make up for her past, or erase her tears, but the hardest part is every night before she goes to bed hearing her ask the empty space beside her, " Mama wo dist du?"
Aha almost forgot the translations! xD I went ahead and decided to use the German lyrics because I like German but you can see what it means this way <3

The Messenger - Linkin Park
It was his third month away from home. Kicked out from his house, taken in by the black of night. It seemed that he was alone, cut off from this cruel world. A boy with no home, until a girl he had only talked to maybe twice told him, "Remember your loved and always will be." She took him in, even though his instincts were telling him to run. "Even when you're growing desperate from the fight, listen, this melody will always bring you right back home."

Blargh! =D
Okay so this obviously is just a normal blog post. I'm happy today, but also kind of sad. I know it's still a year away but I'm going to miss my family when I leave. I wonder how many other people my age feel like this, most of the people I know are like I wanna move out~! I want to stay and enjoy the time with my family I have left, you never know when time will run out. Anyways I'll be doing a short little five part writing challenge today and tomorrow, I hope I can finish it in those two days. I challenged Nota to do this and she said I should too. You can check her blog out her http://aawritingchallenges.blogspot.com/ yuppers. Anyways, time to randomize!
The 5 song random challenge. (FYI, if I get an instrumental I'm going to go on to the next one because it would be weird being like and deminuendo into a violin solo, yah not going to make you read that)
1. The Messenger - Linkin Park
2. Wo bist du (Mama) - LaFee
3. Tu Guardian - Juanes
4. Angels - Within Temptation
5. Four Seasons - Namie Amuro
My thoughts on these songs. Really three of you are in foreign languages! Ahhhh! So much for making it easy for my readers. I'll just put translations for you people. Sheesh 4 languages in 5 songs -.-

Let me carry you over the threshold
She was never much of a wall flower, but she was wise enough to shun the lime-light. She was well loved, and if you asked her she would tell you how blessed she was. Even so, her past was tragic, it sometimes would make people wonder how she found the strength to go on, much less have a smile and open heart to any who asked.
It was soon to be her 18th birthday, just a month away. She was excited, this birthday would make up for the ones she had lost and spent crying, mourning for all those that left her. Yes, that day was November 10, only a month left. That day her hope came down, or at least what she perceived as hope. As she was walking, in a rush to get to class on time, a car hit her. When she awoke, she found herself in a hospital bed. She smiled internally and thought for a moment how funny it would be if she asked where she was, then she saw her "hope".
He was there, an angel, her angel. It was only an instant, a small glimpse, then he disappeared. A little girl came in and ran to the bed crying, trying to comfort the child the young lady reached for the girl, but she could not move. Her heart longed to aide the child and stop her tears, perhaps it was her love that brought him back. He spoke in a voice like a whisper, with the clarity of a dream, "I see your heart's longing to comfort this child, and all others who have shed tears on your behalf. If you go on you will live, but never will you leave this bed. There is a chance for a heart as yours, pure and true. A chance, you have, to move and comfort those with shattered hopes and dreams; but if you so choose upon the anniversary of your birth your heart will die."
She knew from the moment that she saw him, that she would die. "For every star in the sky, is a heart with unconditional love that has died. A heart of an angel, but their wings would be black, black as the sin of the world they came to share their endless love with. One of them, I am not, but I accept your deal. A month to give love, is more than a lifetime that shall only cause pain."
She spent her month, a miraculous recovery, doing more than showing her love, but also falling into it. He was there with her always, checking to see she kept to the contract, at first. Finally, it was the day before the anniversary of her birth, a few more moments and she would be gone. Then he spoke to her in a voice like a whisper, with the clarity of a dream, "Let me carry you over the threshold." With those words his wings turned grey, and slowly to black. "Let me carry you over the threshold, together we will become a star." He was her "hope", but he was also her "end", and her "beginning to forever".

Hairpins
"I'm drowning, but I don't care. 'Cause when you've got what I got, what I got, who needs air?" She sang going down the aisle. Her boss had sent her to buy some hairpins because apparently their client for that evening had forgotten to get some while they were shopping. It was things like this she loved the most about her job, there was always a new task to keep her entertained. She kept singing quietly as she checked out and returned to her place of employment. "Hey, boss, where do you want these hairpins?", she called as she entered the employee only backstage entrance.
As she turned the corner she saw the drummer of her favorite band turn towards her, "I want them in my hair". She loved her job, and from that day forward she loved hairpins.

An Empty Glass
It has been three years since I got that glass. I can't help but be amazed at how much has changed. You gave it to me, full of sweet perfume. Did you know I never used any, but it still ran dry. When you told me your love ran out and left, all I did for days was stare at the clear liquid in the cup and try to find meaning. But now, the glass is empty, as is my heart for you.

PS. These are fictional, at least I hope they are. If they are real they haven't happened to me at least. This challenge was presented on 7/8/08 why does this matter? It doesn't =)

So this post isn't really all that important, but if you're reading this you're awesome. This is my first blog post ever, so hopefully they'll get better as I make more of them. I actually created this with the main purpose of sharing writing challenges that I'm doing, but I'll share with you some of my life too.
